Monroe Christian School has established a Financial Aid program for
the 2007-08 school year for grades K-8. The program is intended to
assist lower-income families in the form of tuition discounts.
Tuition discounts will range between 0% and 50%, depending upon each
family’s financial ability to pay the school tuition.
The Board of Monroe Christian School has determined that the school
should not be involved with analyzing, managing, and securing
individual family’s financial information, so we use a service
provided by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
This program, School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), is
more fully described in a brochure that is available on request.
If you are in need of financial assistance, you may request a
Financial Aid application from the office. The deadline for
submitting applications to NAIS/SSS is May 1, 2007 – no exceptions,
please. Students must be fully registered for the 2007-08
school year, including the registration fee, in order for the
financial aid application to be considered.
The Finance Committee will be reviewing all SSS analyses and
granting specific assistance by July 1 (hopefully before). You will
be notified by letter when this process is complete. If you
have not been notified by July 1, you may call the office.
Again, in order to assure that your request is considered for the
assistance budget, Financial Aid applications need to be mailed to
NAIS by May 1, 2007.
If you have any questions at all regarding this program, please
contact Laurie Willis at the school by calling (360) 794-8200 or
by sending email.
Another
form of tuition assistance is scrip
which is explained more on its own page.
