'24-25 School Board
The individuals below have been elected by the Society to represent the parents of
Monroe Christian School. They are an all-volunteer team that devotes countless hours to the furtherance of our school and its mission. Stop them in the hallways, introduce yourself at a committee meeting, or bend their ear over coffee; they represent your family and they want to get to know you better!
GREG HAVENER
President
Greg and his wife April are the parents of Hannah and Owen, and have attended since 2019. He is a member of Cascade Church and works as an IT Manager. Greg oversees all of the volunteer teams and leads the Watch D.O.G.S. program.
JON VAN NIEWENHUYZEN
Vice President
Jon and his wife Rachel are parents to Anna and Thomas. His family has attended since the school's founding in 1956. He runs a dairy farm, is an active member of New Hope Fellowship Church, and leads the Building & Grounds team.
ANGELA FLICK
Secretary
Angela and her husband Jeff are the parents of Kinsley and Macey, and have attended since 2019. She works as a Business Growth Consultant, and attends Cascade Church.
Angela remains a key part of our Strategic Planning team.
MATT ZYLSTRA
Treasurer
Matt and his wife Jennifer are
the parents of Brayden and Wyatt, and have attended since 2017. He is an Army veteran and attends Cascade Church. Matt works as a Finance Specialist and serves
on our Finance Committee.
PABLO GUERRERO
Pablo and his wife Melina are parents to Dalton and Olivia, and have attended since 2016. He owns a design/fabrication shop. Pablo has been involved with new building designs and planning, as well as helping in the classroom.
MEGHAN VONJOUANNE
Meghan and her husband are parents to Athena, Lincoln, and Grayson. She works as an HR Specialist, and is very active at her church as a 'Life Group' leader. She co-leads Moms in Prayer and is very involved in the classroom.
DR. PHILLIP REDD
Dr. Redd is father to Maddy, MacKenzie, and Nichole (MCS alumni). He is a grandfather, a respected dentist, and past Board President. His late wife, Pam, was the secretary and remains the inspiration for our Christian Living Award.
DAVIN ALSIN
Davin and his wife Kayleigh are parents to Tessa and Taylor, and have attended since 2020. He is currently a firefighter/EMT and former police officer. Davin attends Cascade Church, and leads the Safety Committee.
